Since 1985, NHI's beautiful Victorian-style home has sat on a Maxwell hilltop overlooking the distant city of San Marcos and the beauty of the Texas sunsets. Primarily used to operate NHI's mission, the mansion, buildings and grounds have also served as a retreat destination for writers, fraternities, concerts, and community meetings. Growth in Central Texas means our phone is ringing more and more to reserve space for weddings, quinceaneras, and other events. Contributions will help underwrite some basic costs to make our venue more event-friendly for guests. Examples include improved lighting and light sculpting around Texas oaks, interior mansion updates, landscaping, and general beautification projects. Thank you for your contribution to updating the Institute!
